A Message from the Founder – Thana Jaberi
As the founder of the Manama Montessori Teacher Training Centre (MMTC), I am deeply honoredto share in a mission that has been at the heart of my life for over 26 years: serving the child.
Montessori education is more than a teaching method—it is a way of understanding andrespecting the natural development of the human being. My greatest joy has always been the privilege of guiding children on their journey of self-discovery. As a Montessori guide, there is nogreater fulfillment than witnessing a child grow with confidence, independence, and a true love for learning.
MMTC was born out of a dream to bring authentic Montessori training to the Middle East—training that is rooted in Dr. Maria Montessori’s original vision and standards. As the first AMI-accredited training center in the region, we are proud to prepare future educators who not only teach, but truly serve the child, acting as compassionate guides in an environment that fosters peace, respect, and growth.
What humbles me most is seeing the ripple effect of this work—empowered teachers, thriving children, and communities that recognize the transformative power of Montessori education. It brings me immense pride that our center has contributed to developing the skills of Bahrainis, making them sought-after professionals, and attracting world-renowned institutions to our country.
Through MMTC, I remain committed to nurturing a generation of educators who carry the torch of Montessori’s vision with integrity and heart. Together, we can continue to build a more peaceful and compassionate world—one child at a time.
